Mr. Reid is a fourth generation entrepreneur who has a passion for innovation and niche markets. Mr. Reid has been involved in various industries including real estate development, tech start up, medical and environmental. His success is attributed to his creative business approach and ability to build the right team.
Mr. Reid is the founder of PureEnviro where he acquired the exclusive rights to the SME technologies. His vision for SME and its applications have led him to some of the industry’s best talent. The PureEnviro team is unlike any other, comprised of professionals who share the same passion for innovation and the SME technologies.
Prior to founding PureEnviro, Mr. Reid served as CEO of Amber Alert GPS, where his initial capital and vision created one of the industry’s most advanced children’s tracking devices. Mr. Reid also founded Coaches Huddle, a premier youth football coaching conference involving all Division 1 Universities in Utah. Additionally, Mr. Reid worked as a consultant to a fortune 500 company where his intuitive marketing and sales approach reached double digit growth. Mr. Reid played in the NFL for the Chicago Bears from 2003-2007 where he was part of the NFC Championship team in 2006. Mr. Reid holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Lorne Everett
Dr. Everett was the Chief Scientist at Haley & Aldrich, Shaw Environmental, ARCADIS and Metcalf & Eddy, Inc. He is a retired Professional Researcher (Level VII) in the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) and Past Director of the Vadose Zone Monitoring Laboratory at UCSB. He has a Ph.D. in Hydrology (1972) from the University of Arizona in Tucson. In 1996, he received a Doctor of Science from Lakehead University in Canada for Distinguished Achievement in Hydrology. He is an internationally recognized expert who has conducted extensive research on subsurface characterization and remediation. He is Chairman of the ASTM Task Committee on Groundwater and Vadose Zone Monitoring and Chairman of the World Federation of Scientists Pollution Panel.
Dr. James Wells
Dr. Wells is an environmental geologist with over 20 years of experience in hydrogeology and geochemistry and is a Professional Geologist, registered by the State of California. Dr. Wells earned a Bachelor of Arts in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College and Masters of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Geological Sciences from the University of Washington. He serves on the editorial board of the academic journal, Environmental Forensics. His area of expertise includes groundwater hydrology, environmental forensics and fate and transport of contamination in soil and groundwater. Dr. Wells has worked on over 100 sites around the country, each with unique issues related to soil or groundwater quality. He serves clients in the areas of site investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, risk-based studies of soil and groundwater contamination, as well as litigation support.
Dr. Mark Ellis
Mr. Ellis is the inventor of PureEnviro’s patented SME remediation system. He is a certified Solid and Hazardous Waste Consultant, Tank Remover and Groundwater and Soil Sampler. Mr. Ellis has worked in the environmental field since 1973. He has inventions for closed system aquaculture, fuel containment and petroleum remediation. Mr. Ellis has additional experience in what is now the Utah Department of Environmental Quality in water quality monitoring, air quality enforcement, acid rain and, finally, as Manager of the Underground Storage Tank Program. Mr. Ellis hold a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Alan Harker
Dr. Harker is the inventor of Ralstonia eutropha, PureEnviro’s proprietary bacteria, a modified organism proven effective in degrading Chlorinated Solvents. Dr. Harker is the Associate Academic Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at Brigham Young University. Formerly, he was the Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Dr. Harker received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry and a Doctorate in Biology, both from the University of Utah. He was also a research fellow for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 1985 to 1987
Mr. DeJoia is the Principal Soil Scientist at Duraroot. He is a board certified professional soil scientist and agronomist with 13 years of experience as a consultant for both international and domestic clients. Mr. DeJoia currently provides permitting, operational, reclamation and salinity remediation assistance to clients in the Oil and Gas sectors. He has served as the chairman of the National Soils Certification Board. His technical strengths lie in soil science, water resources, agronomy and environmental problem solving. Mr. Dejoia holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy with an emphasis in soil and water science and a Master of Science in soil science from Kansas State University.
Mr. Moore is one of the original members of the Underground Storage Tank Program (UST) staff and had been with the program for 25 years prior to joining PureEnviro. Mr. Moore oversaw the cleanup of the nation’s first LUST Trust site, among many others. He also wrote and developed procedures, protocols, and rules, in conjunction with compliance and enforcement of the Underground Storage Tank Act. Additionally, Mr. Moore spent four years with the Oil and Gas staff as a field inspector. Mr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Humboldt State University.
